I work in the UMR203 INRA INSA-Lyon Biologie Fonctionnelle Insectes et Interactions (BF2I) Laboratory in France. I am interested in the characterization of the molecular bases of the nutritionally-based symbiosis between the bacterium Buchnera aphidicola and aphids of economical interest, mainly focusing on the parthenogenetic insect development. Since September 2001, following the availability of the first Buchnera genome, I was involved in a project aiming at the characterisation of the capabilities of genetic regulation of this bacterium, contributing to the development of functional and bioinformatics tools for gene expression and gene regulation analysis in Buchnera. Since 2007, thanks to the pea aphid genome sequencing and annotation project, I contributed to the development of functional genomics tools focused on the insect partner of this symbiosis.
