I am interested in the phylogeny, taxonomy, classification, evolution of host plant preference, historical biogeography, and ecology of the leafhopper subfamily Deltocephalinae (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae). This group contains over 6500 described species, occurs worldwide, and over 150 species are documented vectors of phytopathogenic diseases, some of which are highly economically important.
