i5K Comments for Liriomyza trifolii
L. trioflii, a worldwide economically important pest of vegetables and ornamentals, is notorious for eventaully developing insecticide resistance to most insecticides used to control it. I have a research project to collect field and greenhouse strains from around the USA to determine the susceptibility/resistance to the major classes of chemistry currently used to control it (abamectin, cyromazine, spinosad, neonicotinoids and bisamides). For additional information see Fergsuon 2004 (J. Econ. Entomol. 97:112-119) and Ferguson & Pineda 2010 (J. Econ. Entomol.103(6): 2197-2203). Scott Ferguson
