i5K Comments for Loxosceles reclusa
Potentially lethal toxin. Model organism for understanding dermonecrotic envenomation (sphingomylinase D). Focus of research to understand neurotic fractions in venom. Provides appropriate phylogenetic sampling across diversity of order Araneae. Easily obtained from colleagues in Oregon Venom from Loxosceles spider cause the development of an interesting, yet not very well known, pathophysiological condition. I suggest to use late stage embryonated eggs to obtained genetic material. Greta Binford
