Species:
  • Nasonia vitripennis,
  • Nasonia giraulti,
  • Apis mellifera
  • I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Elsik Computational Genomics Laboratory at Georgetown University. I am one of the curators of the Hymenoptera Genome Database. My research interests lie on comparative genomics and molecular evolution. I am currently focused on the evolutionary aspects of recombination rates across hymenopetran species, and the evolution of the Arthropod Hox Cluster. I am inexplicably (albeit, willingly) biased towards parasitoid wasps over bees and ants.

My other research interests have covered subjects such as:

    • Coral genomics
    • Lateral Gene Transfer
    • QTL analysis and genetic linkage mapping in common beans, Phaseolus vulgaris L.
