I am currently working on Medfly, Ceratitis capitata, studying mechanism of resistance to insecticides, including organophosphates, pyrethroids, spinosad. We monitor for resistance in field populations, and perform laboratory selection to obtain resistance strains. We study the mechanism associated to resistance using bioassays, molecular biology and biochemistry.
