Social insects are popular model systems in ecology and evolutionary biology. Currently my main research interest is the evolution of worker-queen polymorphism and how it is affected by environmental and genetic factors. I mostly conduct these researches on the ant genus Aphaenogaster and Cataglyphis. I also study the ecology and evolution of ant-myrmecophyte plants in French Guiana.
