I am a graduate student at Washington State University in the department of entomology. I am broadly interested in the genetic basis behind the development and evolution of novel morphologies, especially in the areas of sexual dimorphism and phenotypic plasticity. My current research involves the role of downstream members of the insulin signaling pathway in shaping the evolution of the sexually dimorphic weapons of coleopterans. In my free time (what is that?) I enjoy skateboarding, e-sports, terrible science fiction, and bad electronica music.
