Submitting a proposal for the sequencing of a new target genome to NHGRI
The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) funds large-scale genome sequencing capacity at several centers located in the U.S. This program undertakes large-scale sequencing projects to provide genomic information to the scientific community in areas of very broad scientific interest. Pathogens and Vectors constitute one of the broad research programs for the NHGRI/NIAID Large-Scale Genome Sequencing Program.
Details of how to submit a white paper for sequencing a new genome can be found on the NHGRI website. Annual dates for submission to NHGRI are January 10th and July 10th.
