i5K Comments for Thrips tabaci
Thrips tabaci is an important pest of agricultural crops worldwide and is a vector of two plant infecting tospoviruses, Tomato spotted wilt virus and Iris yellow spot virus, belonging to a family of economically important mammalian viruses (Bunyaviridae). Thrips tabaci is found in sexually reproducing and parthenogenetically reproducing populations. Currently, our lab has 6 lines initiated from a single parthenogenetic female that have been maintained in the lab for more than 8 generations. George Kennedy
