Hello Bugadmin,
I have completed my Person page and in doing so, I declared an interest in Eurytemora affinis and voted. Despite this, I do not appear to be added to the Eurytemora affinis page as a member of the Community - i.e. having a declared interest in this organism.
What can I do to correct this?
Thanks in advance.
James
Dear James,
There are a number of reasons why this could be so. Firstly, updates to the semantic properties are not always written back to the database immediately, instead they are scheduled in small packets and executed with other transactions later on. More likely is that the page you are interested in is cached and needs to be refreshed to reflect the new links (you can do this using the refresh tab at the head of the page).
In your case I refreshed the page and can confirm that your name appears as part of the Community list for this species.

Dan,
Thank you!
James
James,
No problems. Having re-read my reply I should point out that you do not need to manually refresh each page to reflect changes, it will happen automatically eventually. Rather if you are interested in a specific page then you can refresh manually.
I re-build all semantic properties on a weekly basis so that is the maximum time that a cached change is not visible. This is not great but not so terrible either.

Hi Bugadmin, I went ahead and created a page for the species I nominated Phidippus audax, mistakenly thinking that this was part of the normal procedure. After looking at the histories of the other articles, however, I realized that that probably isn't the case since it looks like all the other articles were created by you. I haven't filled out the subpages, and I don't want to mess up the standard way of doing things, so I'll leave the rest of it for you. Thanks for your work on this. Cheers.
Hi Bugadmin, I'm not seeing any data on the working groups pages, i.e., Pests & beneficials, Vectors, Evo/Devo, EcoGen/PopGen. Am using Firefox 6.02 with an iMac running OS 10.5.8 - is it me or is it you?
Thx! (Marian Goldsmith)
Dear Administrator, I am a new user (named Rejane Streiff) and would like to declare my interest for the following species: Achroia grisella. Despite seeing the corresponding page, I did not succeed in adding my name in the supporter list... Could you let me know how to proceed, please? Thanks per advance and best regards Réjane
Dear Rejane,
You need to make you own Person page (as described in this http://arthropodgenomes.org/wiki/How_to_sign_up_for_this_wiki%3F document).
Once you have done this you will see the tab in the form for declaring interest in species and supporting genome sequencing priorities (popularity voting).
If you still have problems then please get in contact. If shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.
regards Dan
