Aims of this working group
As discussed during the last Arthropod Genomics meeting in Kansas, the broad goal of this group was defined as helping of the integration of genomic efforts within the i5K into an evolutionary context. More specifically, the tasks that we will perform are the following:
1) Identify how complete genomes and on-going efforts are mapped on a species phylogeny of Arthropoda, so that important gaps can be identified.
2) Identify open questions related to the evolution of Arthropods, and their phylogeny and systematics.
3) Based on 1, and 2, inform the prioritization of species to be sequenced.
4) Coordinate efforts towards the resolution of the arthropoda tree of life.
How we work
We have set up a mailing list where these issues will be discussed.

This working group first met at the 5th Annual Arthropod Genomics Symposium, where some ideas were first suggested and discussed. Anyone can join by ticking the group box in their User page (if using the edit with form option)
